ALLENTOWN – The Wilkes University men’s soccer team headed to Allentown, Pa. on Wednesday night in search of their first victory of the season against Muhlenberg College. After 90 minutes of soccer, the Colonels found themselves still winless on the season, falling to the Mules by a score of 4-0.

ASTON – Michael Turner (Hudson, Coughlin) scored two goals but it wasn’t enough as Wilkes University fell to Neumann University 3-2 in non-conference men’s soccer action on Saturday afternoon in Aston, Pa.

EARLY DEFICIT TOO MUCH FOR COLONELS

SCRANTON – The Wilkes University men’s soccer team traveled up to Scranton on Wednesday to take on Marywood in their first action of the season. Within the first 23 minutes the Colonels found themselves behind by three scores, which proved to be too big of a hole, falling 3-2.

WILKES-BARRE - The Wilkes University men’s soccer team will certainly be experiencing a transition period in 2010. The Colonels, who finished last year with an 8-9-1 record, 4-2-1 in conference play, and a Freedom Conference playoff berth, will be without five key seniors lost to graduation a season ago.

Wilkes University Men's and Women's Soccer hosted a youth soccer camp this past week. Campers used this daily three hour session to improve upon their skills in dribbling, passing, shooting and other technical areas.
