Directions to Franklin & Marshall
The Wilkes University football team finds itself in the postseason for the first time since 2006 as the Colonels will take on Franklin & Marshall in the ECAC South Atlantic Bowl.
The Colonels, sitting at 6-4 on the year, will head to Lancaster to take on the Diplomats at 12 p.m. Wilkes will be making its seventh appearance in the ECAC Championship and currently own a 3-3 record in the bowl games. Like the Colonels, Franklin & Marshall will be making their seventh trip to the ECAC Championship and are 3-3 in those games.
The two teams have one like opponent this season – Muhlenberg. Wilkes opened the season with a 14-12 win over the Mules, while the Diplomats posted a 20-7 victory.
A total of 12 teams accepted ECAC bids including Kean (8-2) hosting Ursinus (6-4) in the ECAC Southeast Bowl Championship game. Salisbury University (5-5) will travel to host Lebanon Valley (8-2) in the ECAC Southwest Bowl Championship game.
In the ECAC Northeast Bowl Championship, Plymouth State (8-2) will travel to Massachusetts to take on Springfield (7-2). Also in the north region, Union (7-3) will host Hartwick (5-4) in the ECAC North Atlantic Bowl Championship game. In the ECAC Northwest Bowl Championship, St. John Fisher (6-3) was selected to host Cortland State (7-3).
