GERHART NAMED TO ECAC DIVISION III SOUTHEAST ALL-STAR TEAM

Wilkes University defensive back Kevin Gerhart has been named to the 2009 ECAC Division III Southeast Football All-Star Team after a stellar junior season.
In his third season with the team, Gerhart led the squad in tackles with 100, 61 of which were solo. He recorded a team-high five interceptions which he returned for 28 yards and broke up six other passes. The Hummelstown, Pa. native was an All-MAC first-team selection after leading the conference in tackles.
He was one of 15 players from a MAC school and becomes the first Wilkes player in two years to be honored by ECAC. Linebacker Kyle Follweiler was the last player to be named to the team.
