The Wilkes University men's tennis team had another stellar season this year, and recently had three players selected to the All-Freedom Conference first team, as well as the Coach of the Year in Chris Leicht in a vote by coaches around the league.

For the third straight season junior Chris Cozzillio (Harrisburg/Trinity) was an all conference performer, receiving First Team All-Freedom Conference honors. This is the first time he's been selected as a first team member. Cozzillio went 13-5 this season from four different positions, as well as 4-1 in Freedom Conference play. He also teamed up with Jeremy Nolt (Bloomsburg/Central Columbia) for a 12-6 doubles record, and was 13-6 overall in doubles play.

Cesar Leon (Woodhaven, NY/Brooklyn Tech) was selected to his first all conference team, and was also named the Freedom Conference Rookie of the Year for his efforts this past season. Leon played out of the number one position for Wilkes, where he went 13-4 and 5-1 in conference play. He also recorded a 14-7 overall doubles record while partnered with teammate Clarke Freeman (York, PA/Central York).

Jeremy Nolt (Bloomsburg/Central Columbia) was selected to his second all conference team after an excellent season out of the number two and three positions. The sophomore went 19-2 on the year, recording the most singles wins on the team. He was also undefeated in conference play, and went 13-6 in doubles play, mainly with Cozzillio.

Head Coach Chris Leicht was name the Coach of the Year for the fourth time in his career, leading the Colonels to an overall record of 16-3. This season, Wilkes once again won the Freedom Conference Title for the third year in a row, earning a bid to the NCAA Tournament and picking up its first ever tournament victory against Transylvania this past Thursday. Leicht just completed his eighth season at Wilkes, and is now 103-33 in his career.
