In doubles play, Cesar Leon and Clarke Freeman fell 8-0, and soon after Evan Katz and Wes McCollum fell in the third position, 8-3. Jeremy Nolt and Chris Cozzillio experienced a little more success against the Eagles, but eventually fell 8-5, digging an early hole for the Colonels.

In single play it was more of the same, as Cozzillio was defeated 6-1, 6-0, while Katz and McCollum finished at the same time to end the match, 6-0.

With the loss the Colonels end their season with a 16-3 record, tied for the second most wins in a season in school history. They also picked up their first ever NCAA Tournament team victory against Transylvania on Friday after winning their third consecutive Freedom Conference Championship.
