WILKES FOOTBALL HOLDS FAMILY FOOTBALL CLINIC

WILKES-BARRE -- Fifty players from the Wilkes University Football Team hosted 35 local families for a Free Football Clinic held at the Wilkes-Barre Family YMCA on Sunday.

The children ranged in ages from 2 years old to 12 years old. The day started with a speech from Wilkes University's Head Football Coach Frank Sheptock. The children then participated in various football drills ranging from ball security to offensive line technique. The children also had the opportunity to go 1 on 1 against a Wilkes Football Player. The clinic was completely coached by the Wilkes Players.

The Wilkes Football Program will hold two clinics this summer at the Ralston Athletic Complex. The first is the Mini Football Camp for ages 6-13. This camp is help on June 20th, 21st, and 22nd.

The Frank Sheptock Linebacker School will take place on Saturday June 23rd and is open to student/athletes entering the 9th through 12th grade.
