Nate Ramsey begins his third season as head coach of the Wilkes baseball team after being named the Colonels mentor in late August 2015.
Ramsey spent one season as an assistant coach at Wilkes in 2015 working as the hitting coach and recruiting coordinator for the program.
Prior to Wilkes, Ramsey served as a head coach in the Austrian Baseball Federation as well as an assistant coach at Holy Cross College in South Bend, Indiana. He also served as the hitting coach for the Rio Grande Valley Whitewings, a professional team in the United Baseball League in 2013. He has done over 1,500 individual hitting, pitching, and fielding lessons.
Ramsey received his bachelor’s degree at Bluefield State College, and obtained his Master's Degree in Coaching Education from Ohio University in August, 2015.
He is a native of Greenville, South Carolina, and was prepped at Southside Christian High School.
