WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University women’s soccer team hosted Marywood on Wednesday, playing its first game at the newly renovated Ralston Athletic Complex. All the Lady Colonels needed in their first game of the season was one score, as Wilkes shutout the Pacers by a score of 1-0.

EARLY DEFICIT TOO MUCH FOR COLONELS

SCRANTON – The Wilkes University men’s soccer team traveled up to Scranton on Wednesday to take on Marywood in their first action of the season. Within the first 23 minutes the Colonels found themselves behind by three scores, which proved to be too big of a hole, falling 3-2.

CROSS COUNTRY FALLS TO MISERICORDIA IN FIRST MEET OF SEASON

WILKES-BARRE – The men’s and women’s cross country teams hosted Misericordia on Wednesday, racing against the Cougars at Kirby Park. The men fell to Misericordia by a score of 15-50, while the women lost 23-34.

LADY COLONELS FALL IN SEASON OPENER

WILKES-BARRE - The Wilkes University volleyball team participated in its first match of the season on Wednesday, hosting Scranton at the Marts Center. After four games played, Wilkes found itself on the short end of the stick, falling 3-1.
