For the second week in a row, and the third time this season, senior forward
Tom Kresge (Brodheadsville, Pa./Pleasant Valley) has been voted the Freedom Conference player of the week.
Wilkes participated in three games this past week, winning two before falling to Manhattanville on Saturday, snapping a five game win streak. Against Baptist Bible on Thursday, Jan. 7, Kresge scored a team-hight 23 points on 7-14 shooting and pulled down 10 rebounds in 29 minutes of play. He also hit three three-point baskets in the 90-72 route of the Defenders.
On Saturday, Kresge kept the Colonels in the game against Manhattanville, scoring 26 of his team's 60 points, hitting on nine of his 13 shots from the floor. He also snagged 11 rebounds and recorded a block and a steal in the contest.
This is the third time Kresge has been recognized for his efforts by the conference office, as he is establishing himself as one of the premier players in the Freedom Conference.
