Paul Huch tallied eight steals against FDU-Florham and blocked a career-high four shots.
In the Colonels’ latest game against FDU-Florham, forward Paul Huch tied a 15-year old Wilkes record for steals in a game with eight. The record was previously set by Chris Parker on Feb. 6, 1995 against Drew. Parker is now a member of the Wilkes Hall of Fame.
The sophomore from Tuckertown, N.J. had arguably the best game of his career as he scored 12 points while pulling down eight rebounds to go along with a career-high four blocks. It was a stat line any coach would be proud of.
Huch’s performance helped the Colonels to a 61-58 win over FDU-Florham, marking the third-straight victory for Wilkes and a sweep of the Devils this season. The Colonels are currently 12-7 overall and clawing back into the thick of the Freedom Conference race at 3-5 in league play.
Wilkes will be back in action Wednesday when it makes the short trek to Dallas to take on Misericordia at 8 p.m.
