The Wilkes University golf team shot a second-round 349 and finished with a two day total of 678 to place fourth at the Freedom Conference Championship. Robert Hillibush (Mahanoy City/Mahanoy Area) and Sean Madden (Dunmore, Pa./) both shot 168 for the tournament to finish tied for 14th overall.

Manhattanville ran away with the tournament, shooting a combined 606 which was 39 strokes better ahead of King's College, which finished second in the tournament. Manhattanville's Mike Cresci and Mike Bowers completed the event as the top two golfers with a two-round total of 149 and 151 respectively, while Frank Schiel of King's was third with a 152.

FDU-Florham finished third in the event with a 664, 14 strokes better than the Colonels, while Misericordia was fifth with a 683.

Kaleb Smith (Beavertown/Midd-West) finished three strokes behind teammates Hillibush and Madden with a 171 to place in a tie for 19th, while Brian Williams (Taylor, Pa./) finished in a tie for 23rd with a 173. Mike Turano rounded out the Wilkes squad with a 175, good enough to place in a tie for 26th.
