As a part of the MAC 100-year celebration, the Middle Atlantic Conference is recognizing top athletes from conference history, naming student-athletes to Century Teams in each sport from each era. Eras were delineated based on conference membership and sport sponsorship. The number of individuals selected per-team varies depending upon the nature of the sport. Century Teams were selected from an online fan vote combined with the MAC Sports Information Directors vote. Team members will receive a commemorative gold coin, distributed to their alma matter. Century Teams will be announced at the conclusion of each respective sport season. Smith was named to the 1912-1987 MAC era while Henry was selected to the 2003-2011 era. Smith '80 ranks as one of the most prolific field hockey scorers in Wilkes history. During her four seasons as a starter for the Lady Colonels, Smith amassed 24 goals and 31 assists. She still ranks eighth on the all-time goal scoring list at Wilkes, and second on the career assists ledger. Smith holds a share of the school record for assists in a season after dishing out 14 helpers in 1979 during her junior season. During her career, Smith helped lead Wilkes to an overall record of 34-16-8. In 1976 she became the first player in school history to earn a berth on the Susquehanna Field Hockey Association All-Tournament first team while helping the Lady Colonels to three MAC postseason berths. For her efforts during her junior season in 1979, Smith was named the MAC's Most Valuable Player. Henry '05, a Mifflinburg, Pa. native, was a four-year starter for the Lady Colonels during her time in the Navy and Gold. Primarily a midfielder, Henry earned All-Freedom Conference status three times during her career including first team selections as a sophomore in 2002 and senior in 2004. In her sophomore campaign, Henry finished with 19 points on six goals and seven assists leading Wilkes to a 12-8 overall mark and Freedom postseason berth.
