32 former Colonels were named to the MAC All-Century Football Teams 32 FORMER COLONELS HONORED ON MAC ALL-CENTURY FOOTBALL TEAMS 12/7/2012 2:15:00 PM (MAC All-Century Football Teams) 32 FORMER COLONELS HONORED ON MAC ALL-CENTURY FOOTBALL TEAMS ANNVILLE, PA -- As part of the MAC100 centennial celebration, the Middle Atlantic Conference has announced its football All-Century teams. Wilkes was well represented, with 32 selections spanning from every era of MAC competition. As a part of the MAC 100 celebration, the Middle Atlantic Conference will recognize top athletes from conference history, naming student-athletes to Century Teams in each sport from each era. Eras were delineated based on conference membership and sport sponsorship. The number of individuals selected per team varies depending upon the nature of the sport. Century Teams were selected from an online fan vote combined with the MAC Sports Information Directors vote. Team members will receive a commemorative gold coin, distributed to their alma matter. Century Teams will be announced at the conclusion of each respective sport season. The 32 players combined to earn 16 All-America, five Conference Player of the Year, while 13 have been inducted into the Wilkes Hall of Fame. The list also includes Brett Trichillo '04 who won two Melberger Awards for Division III National Player of the Year back-to-back in 2003 and 2004.
