WILKES-BARRE – No. 6 Wilkes University collected points in nine of ten bouts on way to a 33-3 victory over No. 12 Elizabethtown College in a Middle Atlantic Conference match Friday night at the Marts Center.

Wilkes improves to 10-1 overall in dual matches on the year, while Elizabethtown drops to 2-2 on the season.

Guesseppe Rea (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg) opened the match with a 9-2 decision over Kyle McNulty at 125-pounds. Myzar Mendoza (Westminster, MD/Winters Mill) collected his 92^nd career victory posting a hard-fought 10-6 victory over Chad Lammer. After Elizabethtown took a decision at 141, Wilkes' Mark Hartenstine (Easton, PA/Easton) claimed a 5-2 decision over Jesse Meaney to push the Colonel lead to 9-3.

Tyler Lauchaire (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg) earned bonus points at 157 with a 16-0 technical fall in 4:58. The Wilkes lead grew to 18-3 following a forfeit at 165-pounds. Kyle Diesel (Westtown, NY/Minisink Valley) improved to 8-2 on the year after a 6-0 blanking of Zeke Zimmer at 174. Levi Veppert (Kempton, PA/Northwestern Lehigh) used riding time to post a 3-2 win over Woody Herman and Eric Bach (Newton, NJ/Kittatiny) and Michael Shannon each posted wins at 197 and 285 respectively to round out the Colonel winners.

Wilkes remains idle until Friday, December 6 when the Colonels travel to Grantham, Pa. to compete in the Messiah Petrofes Invitational at 12:00 p.m.
