WILKES VOLLEYBALL ENDS SEASON WITH 3-0 LOSS AT EASTERN IN FREEDOM SEMIFINALS
 
ST. DAVIDS, PA – The Wilkes University volleyball team saw its season come to an end with a 3-0 loss at top seed Eastern University Wednesday night in the Freedom Conference semifinals.
 
With the win Eastern advances to face second seed DeSales University on Saturday afternoon for the Freedom Conference championship.
 
Danica Benson (Allentown, PA/Emmaus) led Wilkes offensively with a team-high eight kills and one block assist. Ally Paskas (Rutherford, NJ/Rutherford) also added eight kills and eight digs. Erin Nothstein (Mertztown/Brandywine Heights) closed out her fine career at Wilkes with ten digs in the contest. Setter Megan Powers (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville) contributed 25 assists to the Wilkes passing game.
 
Wilkes concludes its season with a 13-18 overall mark and returns a core group of players for the 2015 season.
