Jordan Vasarkovy (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) and women's cross country sophomore
Morgan Jones (Huntley, MT/Huntley Project) were named the player of the week in their respective sports for the week ending 10/16.
Vasarkovy earned her first MAC Freedom selection of the season after clinching the No. 1 singles title and teaming with senior
Kendra Croker (Old Forge, PA/Scranton Prep) to seal the No. 1 doubles title at the MAC singles championship this weekend.
Jones earned her first MAC selection of the season after running the fastest 6K time in the conference for the week last week to break her own school record with a time of 22:05.8. Jones' school record time came at the Rowan Inter-Regional Border Battle, where she finished 47th overall out of 386 runners. Jones was the top MAC runner at the race against Misericordia, Widener and Eastern, while also facing runners from 13 nationally
ranked team, including No. 1 SUNY Geneseo, No. 2 MIT and No. 4 Johns Hopkins.
