EDWARDSVILLE – The Wilkes University women's tennis team advanced to its eleventh straight MAC Freedom finals after posting a 6-0 sweep of Misericordia University on Wednesday afternoon at then Ralston Athletic Complex.
 
Wilkes continues its unbeaten streak standing 22-0 following the semifinal victory.
 
Wilkes swept all three doubles flights to take a 3-0 lead. Kendra Croker (Old Forge, PA/Scranton Prep) and Jordan Vasarkovy (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) scored an 8-2 win at No. 1 before Francesca Varela-Seri (Stewartsville, NJ/Phillipsburg) and Dana Saliyev (Jamison, PA/Central Bucks South) won 8-3 at No. 2. Madison Salmon (Endicott, NY/Union Endicott) and Taylor Hoffmann (Huntingdon Valley, PA/Lower Moreland) finished off the pairs sweep with an 8-0 victory at No. 3.
 
Vasarkovy made quick work of Comelia Chmil at No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-0. Croker went 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2 to clinch the match at the same time as Saliyev won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4.
Wilkes will look for its eleventh straight MAC Freedom crown Saturday when the Lady Colonels host either Eastern or DeSales at the Ralston Athletic Complex.
