KINGSTON, PA – The Wilkes University women's tennis team captured its 11^th straight MAC Freedom Championship posting a 5-0 sweep of DeSales University Saturday afternoon at the Kingston Indoor Tennis courts. Kendra Croker (Old Forge, PA/Scranton Prep) was named Tournament MVP for the Lady Colonels.
 
Wilkes remains perfect on the year standing 23-0 entering the NCAA Championship Tournament next week.
 
Wilkes took a 3-0 lead after doubles play with three straight 8-0 wins. Jordan Vasakovy and Croker won at No. 1 followed by Francesca Varela-Seri (Stewartsville, NJ/Phillipsburg) and Dana Saliyez at No. 2. Madison Salmon (Endicott, NY/Union Endicott) and Taylor Hoffmann (Huntingdon Valley, PA/Lower Moreland) finished the sweep in pairs play at No. 3.
 
Croker then took her No. 2 singles match 6-0, 6-0 before Vasarkovy clinched the Lady Colonels eleventh consecutive title with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 2.
